The MyGreenFlight Carbon Offset Program

This website shows you how the Carbon Offset Program works - in Stage 1, you simply link your airline website from the Home Page, and the booking confirmation page of your IBE, to this site.

Your logo will appear on every page, so that you will have a co-branded Program.

In Stage 2, we integrate the carbon offset calculator with your IBE, so that it is a seamless transaction for your passengers.

We provide your airline with a completely managed voluntary passenger paid Carbon Offset program, including:

Marketing program
Staff education program
Project credit sourcing
Credit retirement to your ailrine registry account via international registries - you get the recognition for the credits your passengers buy because they are your emissions
Credits sourced from Voluntary Carbon Standards (VCS) or UNFCCC Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) projects
Independent auditing of our credit sourcing and retirement
Auditors report on your passengers offsets for use in your CSR Reports
Software integration at our cost
Your choice of using the non-CO2 Radiative Forcing Index (RFI) which compensates for the non-CO2 gas emissions (NOX, etc) and the effect of water vapour and engine flight emissions in the higher altitudes

The implementation of this program provides you with the opportunity to demonstrate your “green” credentials and also ensures that those offsets can be used with Emission Trading Schemes around the world (such as the EU ETS for the 2012 reporting period). This can reduce the cost outlay required of your airline when Emission Permits are required to be purchased, which may help keep ticket prices low.

When a global Aviation ETS is in place, and there may be a mandatory Offset Levy applied to ticketing, this Programme will ensure your transition to that new compliance environment at no cost and with minimum inconvenience.

IMPORTANT NOTE

As we will be helping Carbon Offset clients to purchase other green products and services in the future, as well as their Offsets, we are developing an affinity marketing programme that will generate your airline significant ongoing income from the passengers that come from your website. This may be worth a lot of money to your airline in the future, and is not tied to those passengers flying with you so you gain an additional revenue stream.
