These projects remove organic material from wastewater, which reduces the  CH4 (methane) emissions.The biogas is used to create heat to dry the manufactured products, which replaces the current fossil fuels currently used to dry the products.

Any surplus biogas can be used to produce electricity or can be flared rather than released to the atmosphere
